How to request a review

1. Which terms apply to your purchase

This policy explains the refund process for paid CF7 Toolbox products purchased through our authorized checkout. Any refund period, guarantee or special condition disclosed for your purchase applies to that order, together with the applicable checkout terms.

Where a purchase includes a refund period, send your request within that period using the contact details below. If no period was specified, contact us promptly so we can assess the request under the applicable purchase terms and law.

Your purchase terms take priority. This page does not shorten an advertised refund period, restrict a guarantee included in your order, or create an additional unconditional money-back guarantee.

2. How we review refund eligibility

We check the payment, the terms offered when you purchased, and the circumstances of the request. Sending a request does not itself mean that a refund has been approved.

Technical issues

If your request concerns a product fault, describe the affected function and the steps needed to reproduce the issue. Where relevant to the applicable refund terms, we may ask for software versions, error details and reasonable cooperation with troubleshooting. We will assess whether the issue concerns a documented product function, the supported environment, or a separate third-party component.

Any support step must be relevant to the request. Troubleshooting does not remove a refund entitlement already provided by your purchase terms or applicable law.

Billing errors and duplicate charges

Report a suspected incorrect or duplicate charge with the relevant transaction references. We will check the records and arrange any correction due through the checkout provider. Separate intentional purchases are not duplicate charges merely because they cover the same product.

3. Limits on discretionary refunds

Unless covered by your purchase terms or required by law, the following do not by themselves establish a refund entitlement:

  • A change of mind, an abandoned project, or a decision to stop using the product.
  • A request for a feature, customization or service that was not included in the purchased offer.
  • A problem caused by unsupported software, altered product code, or a third-party conflict outside the compatibility commitments made for your purchase.
  • Unused time, unused site allowances, or an expectation of a discount introduced after purchase.
  • A request made after an applicable commercial refund period has ended.

Any additional goodwill refund outside an existing entitlement is considered individually. A goodwill decision for one order does not create a continuing refund offer for other orders. We may decline discretionary requests based on false information or abuse.

4. Renewals, cancellation and plan changes

To stop a future recurring payment, use the subscription management instructions supplied with your purchase before that payment is processed. Uninstalling an addon or leaving it inactive is not a subscription cancellation request.

Cancellation and repayment are separate actions. A cancellation does not automatically reverse a completed charge or refund the unused portion of a billing period. Renewal payments are reviewed under the refund conditions applicable to that renewal and any mandatory rights.

An upgrade, downgrade or bundle change does not automatically create a new refund period or a right to a partial refund. Any credit, adjustment or separate refund offer depends on the conditions disclosed for that change.

5. What to include in your request

Contact us from the email address used at checkout where possible, and include:

  • Your order or transaction reference, purchase date and product name.
  • The checkout email address, if it differs from your contact email.
  • A clear explanation of the request and any relevant support reference.
  • For a technical issue, the affected function, software versions and reproduction steps.

We may request information reasonably needed to verify the purchase or understand the issue. Please send an initial request within any applicable deadline even if further troubleshooting details will follow.

Do not include passwords, full payment card details, full license keys or unrelated customer records.

6. How approved refunds are processed

For orders handled by Freemius, approved refunds are processed through Freemius and the relevant payment provider. Refunds normally return through the original payment route, subject to the provider's procedures.

The refund confirmation identifies the affected payment and approved amount. A refund is based on the amount actually paid for the affected purchase, including any applicable tax adjustment, rather than an undiscounted list price.

The time before a refund appears in your account depends on the payment method and financial institution. An approval or processing confirmation does not mean that your bank has already posted the credit. Contact us with the transaction reference if you need help checking its status.

7. Paid access after a refund

A full refund of a purchase normally ends the paid entitlements attached to that purchase, such as official updates, support, downloads and connected services. The refund confirmation will identify the affected subscription or access. For a partial refund, any adjustment depends on the scope of that refund.

These changes concern paid service entitlements. Rights granted under a separate software license, including an applicable open-source license, remain governed by that license.

8. Policy updates and legal rights

We may revise this policy for future purchases. The date above identifies this version. A later revision does not reduce the refund terms attached to an earlier accepted order.

Nothing in this policy excludes a cancellation right, refund, repair, replacement or other remedy that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. Where mandatory law or the applicable checkout terms provide a different entitlement, that entitlement applies.

For the wider conditions governing purchases and paid services, read our Terms of Service.
